Every design is subjective—how people experience it varies widely depending on their values and sensibilities. For us at IDEAL, getting designs across to users effectively hinges on a Co-Creative Process. That means bringing designers and the client together in a focused project team, carefully researching UX through workshops and other activities, uncovering ideas and insights, and pooling the results together into design prototypes. We then go through the results and make refinements, driving the project toward completion.

Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd.“WORKSTYLING”
rebrand
We helped brand the client’s shared-office business and design the user experience, building on the concept of “providing users with opportunities to find happier ways of working” to create a wide array of creative content with a consistent focus. We also analyzed facility usage conditions, did user testing, and gathered other input, using our findings to develop and implement proposals for improvements and other measures.

Japan Institute of Design PromotionLearn the Important Things in Life from Games. — an exhibition
This exhibition, selected for the 3rd GOOD DESIGN Marunouchi open-call showcase, invited visitors to experience everyday life events—ones we all encounter—through original video games.
Our game designs intentionally forced players into nerve-racking, frustrating situations that they would need to struggle to find solutions for, centering the focus on a UX design that encourages personal growth.

The Gibraltar Life Insurance Co., Ltd.Website redesign
Aiming to make the client’s website more comfortable and accessible to a wide range of users, this project incorporated universal design concepts and focused on giving the website a warm, welcoming feel with a human touch. In addition to providing easier “My Page” access for better site usability, our design also made it easy for users to contact their representatives at any time.

Benesse Corporation “Programming Plus” educational content development
We helped with the UI design for “Programming Plus,” a set of educational content that gives children an intuitive grasp of programming. We were involved in developing in-app games from the prototype stage and created videos highlighting the characters’ unique traits as well as additional monthly content. We carefully selected and implemented features on many levels to make learning programming fun for children.
